CLOWN & CIRCUS WORKSHOPS
We facilitate a range of clowning workshops for all ages, with a specific focus on developing clown personas and creative aspects of circus street shows.

Busking for Beginners
This workshop is for people who have a skill they would like to present as a street performance.
Students will work on:
• Creating a clown name and persona
• Wearing clown make-up & costuming
• Defining a performance space
• Generating a strong act name
• Designing a personalised chalkboard
• Developing introducing and spruiking techniques
• Progressing presentation skills – stance, eye contact, projection etc
• Working in slapstick and comic elements
• Encouraging dollars
Students will be provided with an opportunity to test out their newly-learned skills in front of a small audience of their family/friends.
CLOWNING AROUND
This workshop is for people who want to learn basic physical theatre clowning skills.
Students will engage in:
* improvisation
* physicalisation
* slapstick
* acro/balance
Students may be provided with an opportunity to develop a small choreographed clown scene for performance.
